TikTok made a change on ads, changing their disclosure label from “paid promotion” to just “ad”, which makes it way smaller and a lot less noticeable (until audiences adjust to it again). So I guess maybe it’s a great time to make shortform promotions, if you want a cheatey extra 0.5s of watchtime

Please stop saying “lockdowns.” There were never true lockdowns in the US, and it fuels far right narratives to repeat this inaccurate statement. You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.

I've seen people saying same thing with getting access to research papers. People saying that if you want to see a paper that costs money to access, you can often reach out to the author and they can send you a copy.

If there’s one thing I learned while working as a semi-scientist in college, it’s that academic leaders can be lowkey super accessible If your own searches around the internet aren’t giving you an answer, it’s 1000% okay to try and email a scientist and ask them. They’ve got that stuff MEMORIZED.
