So let me get this straight: The ableds hate it when our disability disables us and hate it when it doesn’t
Do dogs think it’s rude when we pet them with our feet?
When disability happens to you, you won’t be able to just “try harder”. The social supports you think magically appear? They won’t show up. The medical system will let you down. Friends & family will abandon you. You will realize disability advocates were right all along.
Multiple chronic illnesses because the only thing strong enough to kick my ass is me 🫠
If you could text your chronic illness something right now, what would you say?
Eating a block of cheese: not socially acceptable Eating enough cheese off a charcuterie board to equal a block of cheese: socially acceptable
I’ve tried some weird things to get rid of hiccups and none of them ever work, lol
I meant to live. I wanted to live. But I was ill, So I only survived. And life passed me by.
The thing about chronic illness is that there’s never just one thing. There’s always multiple things. There’s always compounding things that cause other things or are common concurrent things. It’s always just and endless stream of things.
