What a difference one year can make 💚 The women of AMARNO, an Indigenous group in the Amazon, saw the plants and seeds they used for their traditional jewellery were disappearing around them. So, we helped to grow a nursery to revive endangered plants and to protect the future of their craft.

One of the many weird and wonderful creatures that our forest monitors find in the Amazon. This here is a Congompe - a giant snail 🐌 With the help of tablets and GPS devices, the forest monitors can collect data and insights into the rainforest.

Over the last week, our partners CARE Ashaninka have been organising deliveries to those impacted by recent Amazon floods. 8.5 tonnes of essential supplies, like food, bedding and mosquito nets have been delivered to several communities whose homes, farms, and villages have suffered severe damage.

We work in the 3 largest rainforests in the world: 🌳 Image 1 - The Amazon 🍃 Image 2 - The Congo Rainforest 🌴 Image 3 - New Guinea Forest Keeping carbon-capturing rainforests intact can provide 23% of climate mitigation urgently needed to cool our planet, which is why we focus our work here!

Here's some snapshots from recent fire-prevention workshops we run alongside our partners in the Amazon 🌳 The sessions explored fire spread patterns and how cardinal points can improve planning. Plus, we provided PPE and water backpacks to help communities stay prepared & protected from wildfires
