The “high-functioning” label means “profitable to exploit.” The “low-functioning” label means “not worth exploiting.” Neither label is about our wellbeing, both are about our utility to capital. We don’t need better labels. We need to end the system that sorts us by economic value.
Literally feel like I’m taking crazy pills that the level of accusations uncovered in there has been completely ignored.
"Reasonable adjustments” under capitalism = “How can we extract value from you despite your limitations?” True accommodation asks: “What do you need to contribute your abilities to the community?” The first serves profit. The second serves humanity.
The capitalist system does not malfunction when it overwhelms the neurodivergent individual. It functions exactly as designed, prioritising efficiency of output over the well being of the person.
