Living ain't easy in a world that just ain't right. Noise, confusion, distraction. Lost in a world without order. Running away to find the hit. Two faces, two minds. We feel like strangers in a strange land. #AuDHD

Trying to make sense of a world that never made sense of me. #Autistic #ADHD #AuDHD
Been on sertraline and propranolol for a while now. It’s definitely slowed down the racing thoughts and I feel much calmer. A bit flat, sure. If you asked, I’d say I feel "blah!", but honestly? I’d take flat over spiky any day of the week.
"Remember me and smile, for it's better to forget than to remember me and cry." Dr. Seuss
That was the most predictable match ever. Soon as England scored, it was over. Back pedalling. If they had played any deeper, they would have been hanging off the crossbar! So predictable. So England. I've been putting myself through this since 1982. Never again. Now, how many sleeps till Euro 2028
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." MLK 1/2
The most effective way to keep you scrolling? Trigger fear or righteous indignation. Social algorithms naturally amplify extreme voices because conflict drives clicks. 1/2
Do you know what ruined Twitter? Anger and hate. The same anger and hate will destroy this place. Scrolling, looking for the next dopamine hit to fuel a negative mind... The last thing a neurodivergent mind needs is to be trapped in a loop of anger and hate.
I don't hate, and I don't celebrate someone's death. Maybe I'm more "disordered" than I realised.
England 🏴 World Cup 2026 team has 16 players of Black or mixed race / ethnic minority heritage. Well done to ALL the English players. Plus their German coach.
Day of recovery. All nighter watching the football. England 🏴 battled well against Mexico 🇲🇽 Norway 🇳🇴 stood tall against Brazil 🇧🇷 Decent World Cup and more importantly enjoying all the games with my daughter Grace.
Victorian style schooling fails all children, but it completely abandons those with ASN. One size fits all education has let down generations of kids and will ruin the next. If you want to fix ASN in schools, change how we educate. Treat kids as individuals, not meat for the grinder.
How are schools affected by ever-rising ASN rates? Based on the latest data, the average primary school class of 23 pupils will have between eight and nine pupils with ASN. Slightly higher in secondary schools. www.heraldscotland.com/news/2625171...
All are created equal but not treated equally. Happy 4th of July.
Ponchos at the ready. Its gonna be a wet one at Bellahouston Park for the My Chemical Romance gig. #TheBlackParade
I could have been anyone I imagined I could be; I just didn't imagine being me. #Neurodivergent

I built my entire social cognition from scratch, consciously, like reverse engineering a machine nobody gave me the manual for. Neurotypicals call that exhausting. I call it the only honest description of what everyone is actually doing. I just don’t get to pretend it’s instinct. #ActuallyAutistic
There’s no version of me that’s “high functioning” in the morning and “low functioning” by evening. There’s just a bucket. It empties. When it’s empty, it’s empty. That's not a bad day, that’s arithmetic.
I don’t struggle with social cognition. I run it explicitly, on purpose, with effort while you do it on autopilot and call that “natural.” That’s not a deficit. That’s a different engine doing the same job with less fuel efficiency and more honesty. #ActuallyAutistic
Gig last night, Frank Turner, Bowling for Soup and American Hi-FI at the Glasgow Academy. A brilliant night out, but also a textbook case study in exactly what it takes for me to actually be there. To everyone else, it’s just a normal night out. For me, it is a finely tuned, planned operation. 1/5
I have spent my entire life being told I’m doing it wrong. Someone encounters a different way of operating and their first instinct isn’t curiosity. It’s correction. I’m autistic. I’m done explaining myself to people who’ve already decided I’m the problem.
I am autistic and i find social interaction difficult. This type of reply is why i said what i said.
Just a heads up on how I use Bluesky: I'm a batch poster. I write a bunch of thoughts down and drop them all at once. It lets me value and engage with social media without letting it consume my entire day. Much easier to manage this way!

There’s something about the autistic experience of being fundamentally alien to the world around you that makes the question of meaning unavoidable. You can’t drift. You have to decide what you think is true.
Doubt isn’t the opposite of faith for me. It’s the engine of it. The autistic brain won’t let you rest in comfortable uncertainty. So you keep going. And sometimes going further in is how you find your way through.
God doesn’t need me to perform neurotypicality. That took me longer to accept than it should have. But here we are.
I wasn’t broken and then fixed. I was always this. The pattern recognition, the intensity, the honesty, the way I can’t do anything halfway that’s not the disorder talking. That’s me. #Autism #ADHD #Neurodivergent
My brain is both the sharpest tool I own and the one most likely to go missing when I need it. #AuDHD
