Horny about art

(TW piercing/ body mod) These posts are little time capsule catalogues from all my scouring through Wikipedia and online archives. I have read a handful of pages out of this book, some of which aged well some of which not. I’ll leave this post here as a reminder to future me to read some more

Another one for the capsule: Mondo 2000, the precursor to the more palatable Wired magazine. The design goes crazy on these, and while not necessarily erotica itself the surrealist cyber punk style captivates me all the same.

Pater Sato (real name Yoshinori Sato) was a Japanese artist and illustrator specializing in airbrush in the 1970s-80s. Sato traveled between Japan and NY driven by an interest in theater. Sato began illustrating for magazines such as Playboy and Sniper among many others.

Pencil drawing I did a few years ago. I lived most of my life in CA before moving to PDX. I often use burning landscape as a “backdrop” for figures in my work. Climate collapse has made exploring the human condition feel both urgent and pointless. Every Monday is a Monday if you love your wife!

Drawings by Eric Lotzer For a long time I didn’t know art like this existed. Academia and online “community guidelines” hid an entire genre from my young, hungry eyes. Like all art isn’t masturbatory in some way.

Admin reveal 🌀 Guess I’ll start sharing my work on here although it’s more fun to talk about other artists. I work in a lot of different mediums. Here are a few: Tattoo (Tom of Finland)/ colored pencil/ lithograph

The intention of this page is shifting slightly- I wanted it to be a space to geek about art. A respite from the grind of producing content. But I am an artist, trying to make a living while Instagram self implodes. So here’s my tattoo flash inspired by the greats. 📍PDX

AtomAge was one of the first publications that showed me the tip of the iceberg. Artists, free thinkers & SWers have always found a way to share their work. The social media landscape feels a bit ominous, but our lovely freaky ancestors have shown us it’s possible to share outside the algorithm.

Do you ever look at an image and get that zing⚡️feeling? (No, not down there) I think my early archetypal conditioning makes seeing “bliss face” feel like a vacation. Like “Look, everyone’s happy, you can slow down.” I know these are just portrayals but they are portals to peace for me.

Some pretty incredible scans from Secret Magazine. The level of anonymity pre socials has a huge appeal. Is my cashier part of this secret world? The person I’m sitting next to on the bus? The ability to wonder about other peoples lives feels like a gift of the past.

Cozy nights in are often spent combing through the web for high res scans of fetish magazines (preferably older than 2005). Each one is a portal. I feel like I’m on a noble journey (I’m delusional), unearthing things that need to be appreciated a little bit longer. What are these people doing now?

GayTown USA 🌈 A controversial series created by curator of Sensitive Content Mag featuring all AI generated images. How will AI change our consumption of explicit content?

📀Welcum 2 the Intrnet💿 First 3 imgs are digital renderings by an unknown artist. Last img is a painting by @sashayazov. It’s interesting to see how contemporary (airbrush) painters call back to the digital 2000s. The line between human/ AI is blurring and it feels like watching a pretty sunset.

Clovis Trouille Born 1889 in France. This guy served in ww1 and lived to tell everyone it sucked. His vibrant anti-clerical work has been adopted by the surrealists although he never identified with that movement. It’s fun seeing the parallels in contemporary painters like Joyce Lee (last img)

Now introducing the (British?) Femdom illustrator ✨Mormax✨ It’s hard to find much about Mormax. I think the anonymity is refreshing in contrast to today’s personal celebrity obsession. Mormax feels like an 80s fever dream with y2k sensibilities (some drawings have cell phones)

Artist unknown. If you know who please drop a message.💧Shiny weewee shiny lip shiny eyeball yes please

Frances Waite is an American contemporary artist in LA. A long time favorite of mine. Her series Escape Fantasy has had me in a chokehold since I first saw it in 2020. Being horny during the apocalypse was absolutely the vibe. She has so many incredible pieces it was so hard to pick just 4

Work by the Italian illustrator Luciano Bernasconi. Better known in the h0rny world by the pen name Lube or Saint Germain. Researching erotic illustrators sometimes feels like peeling an onion. Many illustrators have had at least one pen name/ alias so tracking them down can be a task. 🙃

Fucking finally a platform I can share some of my new and old favorites. Apollonia SaintClair appreciation post
