It's been a while since I've posted as I've been in a bit of a funk and not done much of note. But yesterday I went to the club and had a cracking game of @badsocialism.bsky.social great WW1 rules. French Vs Germans sometimes in 1914 using Johns lovely 6mm figures. It will be at Joy of 6 soon.

Off round @desmondo.bsky.social for a bit of Day 1 Gettysburg action in lovely 15mm-o-rama. Another run at the great Heth's attack scenario from last year but using his newly written rules. More pics later once we get stuck in!

Here's the finished Saxon Foot battery of 2 bases. 6mm Turners put through Blender, including the gun which is a slightly tweaked Russian carriage with a French barrel. I really enjoy painting these figures as the detail is just lovely.

What another fantastic Herts of Lard! Congratulations and many thanks to Joe for putting it on again. A packed hall full of gamers enjoying some cracking games. Apart from the games themselves it was great catching up with people and meeting new ones. Long live the Lard!

Part 1 of the journey to Herts of Lard begins. Bus to Croydon to meet the chaps. I woke up an hour before the alarm went off so decided to finish these chaps off. I only printed them on Thursday! 6mm Saxon Napoleonic gunners. "Made" by me from fantastic Henry Turner Blender files.

A couple of the Bremen Uhlans I knocked up in Blender using bits from a couple of Henry Turner's kickstarters. I love the freedom this gives you to design and adapt figures for printing, especially to get the uniforms right for these small units. Each one of this 10 figure unit will be unique.

Well that's been a while innit. Had a winter funk plus usual illness so haven't felt like posting. All better now and lots coming up to post about with testing of rules, 3D printing, painting and shows. Herts of Lard on Saturday which will be great. Some 6mm Naps I painted or rebased recently.

I've been up for an hour, tea drunk, shower, shit & a shave all done. Off to help put on a 3mm Cold War game at Re: Play show at the Sapper Museum in Gillingham. Really looking forward to it as it's a cracking venue and it'll be the first run out for Des' new BAOR kit. Pop by and say hello.

Photo dump of the weekend long game of "Not Quatre Bras" round Des'. A cracking time spent with proper mates playing with beautiful kit. Only fly in the ointment was the utter twatting we received from our opponents as they gave us a lesson in Napoleonic combined arms!

Just finished this off. Half rebased figures, half newly painted. Adler 6mm French Napoleonic Line Infantry 1re Btln, based for my rules as usual. Also did similar with a battalion of Lützow Freikorp but they will be replaced with Turner 3d prints so sort of half arsed them, plus more limbers.

Did anyone else have these? I was given loads by my dad when I was a kid. Admittedly I didn't really read the info but spent hours poring over the cracking illustrations.

Just finished the basing on the Napoleonic Saxon I/Friedrich August infantry. Henry Turner Miniatures "made" by me in Blender and printed at about 7/8mm scale. Based for my own rules.

I've been very quiet as haven't had much to show as I've been beavering away on Blender "making" lots of Napoleonic Westfalians for printing. However I have managed to finish off a few bits so here's a couple of Austrian limbers plus a Saxon battalion ready for varnish & basing. 6mm Turner prints.

Off round Des' for some hot CoC action, only my second go at a Pacific set game.

One of the books that started it all off for me, one of the few Blandfords that me and the other uniform nuts had out on a rotating loan from Romford Market. Only £3.

We've just been to see Jaws at the cinema. Ruddy marvellous.

Fantastic news. Because the train from Doncaster to Leeds has run slow we will miss our connection at Leeds and have to wait half an hour for the next one. That first pint ain't going to touch the sides.

Cracking start to our trip away to Yorkshire. Train we were on got cancelled after we got on it. Had to jump on another along with everyone else. Nearly at Doncaster now. Been stood up all the way. Outside a kharzi as only space left. I need a pint or three! 😀
