Redpoll for lazyscience on tumblr! Thank you for the #Waymakers donation! 🪶🎨 #SciArt #BirdArt The Waymakers challenge is a race and fundraiser hosted every September by @theyoungcenter.bsky.social to help immigrant kids in the US. Join us again next September!

Illustration of a Redpoll perched delicately on the dead head of a pink flower, part of a cluster growing from below the viewer's perspective. The bird is a small pale finch with a yellow beak and little red crown patch, and brown flank streaking. It looks to be a bright sunny day, which illuminates the spiderwebs strung between the drying twigs.

Arthe promised to stay quiet (it lasted like 10 minutes 😔) #oc #ocsky #art #illustration #MoldingHeart

Description for the characters

Arthe (he/him) is a human with long, orange hair with yellow ends, curling like flames. He has spiky curtain bangs with some of the hair always curling below his ears on both sides of his face like horns. His skin is light, with a few scars on his arms. His eyes are bright pink on top and light green on the bottom. He's wearing loose, dark green pants, black boots and a red sleeveless turtleneck. He also has a black gas mask hanging on his chest and black googles on his head.

Neakhal (any pronouns, but leaning towards he/him) is an elf with white hair - long on the bottom and short at the top. Bottom part is styled in a braid, while the top is brushed to the back, with the ends curling upwards. He has pale skin and bright green eyes. His eyebrows, eyelashes and upper lip are painted red to match red marking on his body (on the ends of his ears, lines going from the neck to the chest, arms and legs and tips of his fingers). He's wearing a greyish-blue sleeveless shirt, white pants and white crop top with dark blue collar. Both pants and the crop top have matching grey leaves patterns. He has several pieces of silver jewellery resembling flowers with red crystals in the center. In a few places he has a red crest portraying a turtle with wings.

Description for the art:

A horizontal illustration with Neakhal and Arthe sitting on a thick tree branch, on top of some blankets. Neakhal is on the left, closer to the tree trunk, leaning back, with a book in his hands and a fond smirk. Arthe is leaning towards him, gently pushing the book down with a wide smile on his face asking "Can I have your attention for a moment?". Behind him is his jacket (dark green, just like his pants) with Fairy (his little robot friend, just a little ball) sleeping on it. They're hidden between the leaves, with yellow fruits resembling grapes hanging in a few places. The lighting is very warm, like a sunset.

My first real "oh shit" moment in dnd. 2023 - Party split, each taken by on of the antagonists of Dragon heist. Callil getting auto killed by divine word, and then resurrected as a feral teifling by Asmodeus. All of this in a solo session #ocsky #dndoc #tiefling #ttrpgoc #digitalart #illustration

Thiên Chương, Tịch Chiếu Design commissions for ConfusedPotato

Character sheet of Thiên Chương, a fictional mythical figure, depicted in her default outfit. Her outfit is inspired by ancient Việt and Mường ethnic attire. She wears a long black dress, and her midnight-blue overcoat shimmers as if real stars are floating on it. The waistband of her skirt is long, reaching her chest, accented with ornate embroideries typical of Mường clothing. Her ethereal look is then accented with a layer of semi-transparent fabric. Associated items displayed alongside: an intricate silver jewelry set, a detailed chatelaine, and patterns motif on the skirt waistband.

Character sheet of the same character in her casual outfit. She wears the same black long dress, styled with her patterned skirt waistband folded down for a more relaxed look. Draped over her shoulders is a multi-layered, midnight-blue cape crafted from various fabrics, decorated with ornate silver brooches, red ribbons, and white feathers. The same items are also shown on this character sheet.

Character sheet of Tịch Chiếu, a character in the same fictional setting with Thiên Chương. His default outfit is stylized ancient Vietnamese clothing from the Later Lê Dynasty. He is dressed in a knee-length crimson-red overcoat with prominent decorative chest armor. He wears multiple fabric belts layered beneath leather belts with attached metallic scales. Matching metallic scales and feather motifs are also visible on his pauldrons and bracers. Associated items are shown on the side: decorative armor pattern, pattern motifs, earrings, and belt accessories.

I think it’s interesting how a lot of my OCs don’t really… HAVE families?? Most of them are just kind of out in the world, alone, and they either get a found family with those they meet, or a partner, or a friend, and sometimes not even that
