I'll be drawing birds for donations again this year in addition to my weekly running miles! Details on how to donate for bird illustrations will come later this month. Looking forward to doing this again with you all, the kids need the help more than ever!

The govt has fired *all* the immigration attorneys representing detained children and given a $150 million contract to a 26-employee law firm in Texas with ONE immigration attorney. @theyoungcenter.bsky.social's Child Advocates are now the last line of defense for kids in deportation hearings.

Supposed to get into the 100s for the next week here and I'm not looking forward to it so here's a Snowy Owl portrait from a couple years back. Think cold thoughts. 🎨🦉🐡

Fly no fly (killed by entomopathogenic fungus, I'd guess Entomophthora muscae, known for attacking flies). The fungus controls the fly's behavior, making it climb atop a stem or flower stalk and open its wings, to better allow the spores to disperse. 🐙🌿🪰💀
