Lurie has shown his overt disdain for democratic institutions… his approach to D4 coupled with his push to eliminate city commissions shows he lacks interest in good governance and public participation in navigating our city’s future. His is a billionaire agenda where the uber rich are in control👇

This is a bizarre take from the Chronicle. Lurie appointed an inexperienced loyalist — the Trump strategy. The lesson he should learn is to vet candidates and appoint people with the skills/experience to do the job. Given that he’s been purging commissions of independent experts, that’s unlikely.

Benioff has always been out of touch & has tilted towards false narratives that serve his own self interest. Dreamforce gives him a media megaphone which he used in 2018 to demand homeless solutions, in 2023 for more policing and 2025 cronyism. This isn’t new, this is the Benioff playbook.

What a crock of shit from Marc Benioff — who appears willfully ignorant of news and facts and so thirsty for approval and attention from the Trump tech bros (who in the past mocked him relentlessly) that he is soiling himself in public www.nytimes.com/2025/10/10/u...

This week there were two pretty contentious community meetings about Upzoning. There are the legit concerns people are articulating about Mayor Lurie’s Upzoning plan. The question is — if and when amendments & an alternative plan is put forward, would the Mayor & all Supes embrace it? 1/

Trump's ignorant and cruel Executive Order today on homelessness sounds eerily familiar to those of us in San Francisco, where self-described "moderate" politicians have been using nearly identical messaging for years. Stop acting like Trump and start housing people with the support they need.

Sweeps👏 are👏counterproductive👏 “You can’t do anything without ID” she said. “[DPW] confiscated her purse, which contained her birth certificate, ID & SS card, during an encampment clearing” And that “affected her ability to access services.” 👇👇👇

NEW: City workers clearing encampments are supposed to notify residents to separate essentials from items being confiscated, and collect signed acknowledgements of doing so. Despite logging 588 clearings, SF could not produce a single signed document. www.sfpublicpress.org/san-francisc...

Imagine an opposition party pushing for such wildly popular things as fully funded public education, social housing, universal health care, and paid family leave, while condemning fascists, calling out disinformation, and voting against right wing legislative proposals, instead of normalizing them

Never forget this: The GOP’s nonsensical culture war is meant to distract you from corporate corruption, worker oppression, and staggering wealth inequality.

Today Molly & I went to City Hall with other members of Small Business Forward. Now the election is over there is work to be done! Why yes, those are (un)intentionally matching blue vests we are wearing 🤣💙

This article covers our new residential vacancy tax and the tragic reality that there are tens of thousands of homes sitting empty every night while people sleep on the street. The vacancy tax will help fill empty homes and raise millions for affordable housing. fortune.com/2023/10/21/s...

The city by the bay has tens of thousands of vacant units and roughly 8,000 homeless, but will its vacant home tax have any effect?
