I just saw someone blaming Call of Duty for ICE. 1) The fact that ICE is being conflated with THE MILITARY is part of the problem. 2) This has nothing to do with the game 3) Video games don't make people violent. Full stop. Video games don't make people fascist either. 4) Look at the real problem

Once again lamenting the fact that Bsky could have completely supplanted Twitter. Like. Entirely. We had our chance. But no, we had to turn it into blue Tumblr with a splash of Facebook.

I kinda want to get into commentary, but not necessarily drama commentary. I've been told I have a talent at taking complex and dense information and breaking it down so that it's simple to understand, and I want to use that.

Went to all the effort to make a .vtt caption file for a video to upload here, and the captions are desynced by ~1450ms! This is a reported bug, too! Which means if I want accurate subtitles that won't be altered by a future fix from the dev team, I have to make burned-in captions. This sucks.

Bsky may be more or less dead again for any non-political use, but at least I can still interact with people and be seen without having to compete with 3000 blue-checked "Wow 😍" "Love this! 😎" posts (and also actual nazis everywhere).
