I can't begin enumerate all the ways this is fucked up but one thing it will for sure do is prevent girls, and especially girls from poor families, from participating in sports.

At least half the states in the country have some kind of restriction on trans girls in sports. But Washington would be one of the first to require medical testing to verify birth sex. Other states with bans require only proof of birth sex via a birth certificate.

One of the things I *love* about Bluesky is the utterly chaotic nature of my non algorithmic TL. I can read about: Medieval eel taxes, the latest Romancelandia knives out drama, an unhinged shitpost, a cool archaeology discovery, and a Nigella recipe. It's a cabinet of curiosity for the brain.
