Not pulling an all-nighter for the Michigan Senate race result, but let me say this: The fact that the race is competitive even after the Israel lobby & outside groups spent a staggering $62 million to smear & defeat El-Sayed is alone a reason to celebrate the shift in American political discourse.
When you get hungry at 1:00am in Amman, you can get hot bread straight out of a 24 hour bakery oven, step next door & grab fresh falafel & watch them fry pine nuts in a skillet to top your hummus, then next door again for a freshly-squeezed mango, strawberry & banana smoothie.

Today, Israel is collapsing apartment buildings all over Lebanon, including central Beirut, leaving an untold death toll. This mass terrorism is either an attempt to sabotaging Trump's ceasefire, or a final tantrum of a strategically defeated Israel eager to manufacture a mere image of victory.
Trump just announced a 2-week ceasefire, but “subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz.” This condition is extremely unlikely to materialize, so either Trump is unilaterally backing down, or the ceasefire is imaginary.
The lunatic emperor is sounding exceedingly desperate. Iranian civilians will pay the biggest & most immediate price of his madness, but the ripple effect will not spare much of the world. Brace for the dark days are ahead.
At what point will they learn that embarrassing themselves before the world like circus monkeys for his approval, to say nothing of trampling the rule of law for him, doesn’t spare them his capricious wrath? He’ll use them & toss them like disposable utensils.
