Just realized that Microsoft Word now automatically offers an AI assistant on the sidebar of a document. This insidious intrusion of AI into every task is so distracting. This is a worse version of Clippy.

I had such a wonderful time visiting @caryinstitute.bsky.social last week. Everyone was so kind & generous & curious. Feel like I made a bunch of new science pals! Thanks to my longtime pal Amy Zanne for the invite.

As scientists, we must continue to support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Most importantly, broadening participation in science is the right thing to do. In addition, numerous peer-reviewed pubs have shown that diverse teams are more productive and innovative. Diversity has benefits!
