my brother was working as a special educator in a very poor very red district and all the kids were PUMPED! when Trump won because they're parents were, all food stamps, most special ed, 75% free lunch kids etc etc the district couldn't keep him because they lost federal money

It's been very enlightening to realize a lot of white people, just non-black people in general, don't understand what Black people, Black Americans *are* so so many people seem to have conceptualized Black people as the same as immigrants and first gen Americans

again as I was saying I hate how much of this administration is just losers who want to be social media influencers but aren't pretty or interesting enough for that using the vast resources of federal government departments to muscle their way onto reality TV.

I'll turn this on its ear for a moment to point out its DSAers who are demanding Dems who aren't in agreement with their ideas, which are clearly minority ideas even in the party, endorsed and run on things they don't agree with is that unity? no clearly not.

Dems & the DSA are all democrats, and we need to beat united. We need each other. The primary election winners are demonstrating that perfectly; why can’t the pundits & party leadership? We need to beat the REPUBLICANS, not ourselves. Bad actors will try to exploit perceived rifts. Don’t let them.

I should point out we've done this all before, in 2006 there was all the hand wringing in the world about Nancy Pelosi the San Francisco liberal! would drag us down, landslide victory 2018 hand wringing about how unpopular she was and AOC shows she's out of touch with the base! landslide.
