I hate when people make the philosophical argument that it is the "purpose" or a defining characteristic of the Jews to be in exile and more importantly an example through our suffering to all mankind, its usually made by privileged American Jews for whom Jewish suffering is comfortably theoretical

it is interesting that Mamdani getting accused of "Genocide" is getting a much more "well thats just silly/crazy" reaction than other American political figures who also didn't do genocide being accused of doing genocide in those cases even their defenders felt the need to explain not so here.

lots of people have issues with "Ms. Rachel" but my main one is always that clearly with her name and her own statements and marketing she's trying to us Mr. Rogers but her programing is actually the antithesis of Fred Rogers' philosophy of children's programing
in some ways people like the Squirrel serve this very purpose in the antisemitic ecosystem, people with a symbol of mass murder and rape of Jews can reassure themselves that they're not in fact antisemitic because they're still able to watch films about American Jews (or whatever)

there definitely a feeling after the 2024 that a lot of people let out a sigh of relief on the left Democrat side of the political spectrum that at least the election relieved them from the obligation of pretending to care about Jewish suffering

Maine is a race of political skill vs political gravity its a question if the most skilled politician in America can escape her party's President's sucking black hole of unpopularity and Troy Jackson happens to be there too.
