when i saw someone in a reply say "valve could do something about it, they could enforce their policies against rockstar" and I thought uh. i don't know how to tell you this but, no if the day comes that not even rockstar can do it, then we will know pervert video games are for real and truly dead

it's a bit sad. there's some real creative energy in zero parades. but it's got scars of creative compromise all over it. torn between its own bold new ideas and trying to just rehash its predecessor. the flashes of a more radically inventive work inside the game that had to be finished and shipped

it’s disappointing to see news websites misreport on the capcom thing because they don’t have anyone who knows japanese. but as translators can tell you, they haven’t hired anyone with japanese knowledge in years. there are people like yours truly who can help. but nah, nobody cares.
How much do I have to yell about this? I already wrote *an entire blog* calling out THIS specific site's double-standards, but there is a reason mainstream media doesn't use machine translators even now and it's fucking embarrassing that far more tech literate orgs willingly ignore that for clicks.

Numerous people have already been pointing out for days that western reporting on this is an embarrassingly inaccurate game of telephone, so I'll instead reiterate that it doesn't cost that much to just have a real translator on standby to vet such reports. I know budgets are tight, but come on.
