But the State's default answer to any protestation today is to repress, by force if necessary, and so the Police has been pursuing, strangling, dragging, wrongfully taking into custody, and every so often, mutilating people. They've done it to adults before, now they're doing it to teenagers.

Those kids have a lot of reasons to be angry. Lack of teachers, too many students per class, lack of means and funding, rooms and buildings that are falling apart, sometimes unsanitary water... Not to mention feelings of hopelessness, of not having a future, due to climate change and the economy.

I haven't seen anyone talk about it outside of france so for context: French high schoolers are blocking their schools in protest of their learning conditions, and the State is ignoring them and silencing them.
