mike pondsmith in the 90s writing Cyberpunk 2020: i created the concept of Cyberpsychosis as a cautionary tale about losing one's humanity through contact with technology openAI: at long last, we have created the Cyberpsychosis from famous role-playing game Don't Get Cyberpsychosis, Idiot

Went to look at how X is doing. Some who I used to follow still exclusively or mostly post there. All but ~2 seem to have fallen for AI. Some posts have way more interactions than you'd get here. All the replies are insufferable. Suspecting a lot of bots.

Discoverability there is still better: found 1 new person and followed them… on Bsky. All in all, the place we used to have there is gone, fragmented across multiple networks, mostly on Mastodon and Bsky.

I will add pressure to this by saying that any company that claims to not hold onto your personal data after verifying you? They're lying. Ive been nitro free since the first time they tried this, voice how you feel with your wallet people. Make them really feel that squeeze.

I think we need to get used to not apologizing for late replies. The thing is, only somewhat recently I’ve accepted that there’s no need for constant availability. And I fear that if people keep apologizing, I’d internalize that need again. So do it for me, be unapologetic for me. lol
