Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies

@dias.ie

Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS) is the world’s second, and Ireland’s only, Institute for Advanced Studies. We perform advanced, fundamental, research across our three Schools - Celtic Studies, Theoretical Physics, and Cosmic Physics.

Here in the observatory we never miss the chance to *safely* observe the Sun! Given the weather today we took our solar telescope out to see the sun and some sunspots (active regions) on the sun ☀️ WARNING: never look directly at the sun without protective equipment like a solar filter! @dias.ie
