FLBS and the entire Montana AIS early detection and prevention collaborative team were recently recognized by the Western Regional Panel on Aquatic Nuisance Species as “Best in the West” for their exceptional efforts in preventing the spread of invasive species!

A tremendous thank you to the amazing teams who organized, coordinated, and hosted this year’s Flathead Lake Run in Lakeside, MT and Flathead Cherry Festival in Polson, MT this past weekend! We had a blast joining in the fun and are deeply grateful for the continued support!

Last month, FLBS Snow Algae Field Biology Intern Amita Khurana, FLBS Postdoctoral Research Associate Helena Klip, and FLBS Marketing Intern Grace Porges ventured into the high elevations of Glacier National Park to collect snow algae samples!
