Thanks to @reynoldfnesiba.bsky.social & Augustana University's Dept. of Economics for organizing this month's screening of 'Finding the Money' in Sioux Falls, SD. 119 people in attendance! That's a lot of ppl who are harder to convince that we can't "afford" progressive federal policies.
Rising bond yields are mainly a function of expectations about rising policy interest rates. There are some other minor factors, but it has nothing to do with a collapse in the USD, default risk or anything like that. If the USD collapsed, the following line would be steeply downward sloping.
