I've been in poor spirits lately, so I want to list some small things I'm grateful for today: - The rain - Work boots with no holes - Its cool enough to wear my oversized hoodie comfortably - Work stability - A home to return to - Friends sending well wishes - A new day tomorrow

Is anyone else experiencing multiple chat disconnects/reconnects on Twitch lately? Been happening for a while but its been bad this month. Also, anyone have messages that look sent on your side, but never make it to the servers and don't show to the other chatters/streamer? 🫠

A coworker asked me if I was familiar with OBS. (For reference, I don't talk about streaming to anyone in my day to day life) Brother, if only you knew. I've been using and absolutely abusing that program for the better part of 6 years. . . I told him I've heard of it before.🙂

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?" Is both a blessing and a curse. Please tell me why I spent the last 8 hours trying to fix something and ordering parts just to get frustrated, unplug it, gather myself, plug it in, and THE STUPID THING WORKS?? I hate technology man.

I'm tired of every interaction feeling like a test, especially when they have innocent intentions. An email asking for clarification, invites to social gatherings, a text asking for help, "We need to talk" out of the blue. I read between the lines too much, and I'm tired of it.

Tell your loved ones that you care, keep them close. Just got some terrible news.. I'm gonna try to stream to keep the doors open for those who need it. Today's a dark day in the community.

The only pleasures in life are guilty ones. I do not share many interests with friends, family, or colleagues due to years of ridicule, judgement, and shame. These days there aren't many things I enjoy, but the few I like are kept close to the heart, away from prying eyes.

Everyone wants to be included, with like-minded folks to do life together, but many struggle finding that group. Why? Because inserting yourself into an established group rarely works. Go out and find the hidden gem friends that don't have groups and grow together.

Being part of a creator program or being denied entry doesn't make you any more or less a creator. It can be nice to have labels or backing, but it shouldn't be the end all be all. Continue to create. Be proud of what you make. There is much more out there worth striving for.

Got to watch my "weekends" evaporate in real time as responsibilities for events were given to me. Was kind of hoping for one after working 6 or 7 days a week for the past couple of months. . . Here's hoping to get a weekend in 2027, I guess. At least the paychecks will be nice.

Been checking out indie music from various genres, and I'm about to just start sending out requests to use/license their music for streams or videos. There's beautiful music out there that so few folks have been blessed with. Is some of it weird? Absolutely, but still beautiful.

I certainly don't feel it today. . . Or recently, but I am truly blessed. I have shelter, a full time job that pays well, people in my corner willing to support me, and more importantly, correct me when I've done wrong. I could ask for more, but I'm already living the dream.

I have over 20 years behind the scenes experience with live production, and at least 15 years of experience in front of the camera on stage. There is only one thing I can confidently say about my specialized field: I don't know what I'm doing either, stop asking me questions.🫠

Today's gonna be a good day. Everyone and everything can try pulling me down, but I'll make it a good day if I have to.

What are folks thoughts on collab streams? Genuinely. There are pros and cons, but which outweigh the other? I personally enjoy watching and doing both, but as a viewer what is your preference? Or does it boil down to the preference of the streamer that is, you know, streaming? 🤔

Do something nice for yourself today: Go check out that local place you've been wanting to visit. Get some ice cream. Stay home and watch that show you've been putting off. Reconnect with some old friends. The little things are important too. They'll be the things to remember.

Apologies for the lack of streams lately, unfortunately that will continue this week. I will be pet sitting and one of the cats gets lonely easy so I'll be spending time around them. The hope is to stream on Friday, but I'm taking each day one at a time right now.

My line of work is thankless. The only time I am noticed is when something goes wrong. The standard is perfection and anything less is not tolerated. Yet I was seen and appreciated by a regular outside of my field of work. They recognized the quality increase since I took over.

This is truly a first world problem, but I'm finding it harder and harder to press "Go Live". This is the busiest I have ever been with work and life. I am exhausted by the end of the day. I look forward to the times I have energy to stream, but they are becoming infrequent. . .

I can choose to complain, I can dwell on the things I am troubled by, but I'm choosing to stay positive today. My day/week/month/year may not get better, but I know it can't unless I try. So today I'll appreciate the good things. I hope you can do the same.

I don't like evaluation forms when I'm the subject. . . "What are your personal development goals?" Brother I just want to do my job well. Tell me what needs to get done and I will work on it tirelessly until its complete. I don't have goals, I just want everything to work.

The itch to do something incredibly stupid is strong with this one. . . Holding him back is an option, but why would you want to do that? Let him run wild. Do all the stupid things. Just be sure to bail him out of jail when the consequences catch up. Thank you and have a day.

Ever wonder how streamers set up programs like OBS as well as plug-ins? 🤔 Well you're in luck, because I'm going to be reinstalling Windows on my PC tonight and rebuilding my OBS from essentially scratch live for anyone to check out. Planning on a start time of 5PM PDT/8PM EDT.
