AI users can hide that they used AI" I'm not asking for the perfect "get rid of all AI and only AI with no misfires" solution I'm asking for Literally Anything besides a cute post on social media that doesn't even name the problem directly even though everyone knows what it is.

a screenshot of an itch.io search page of user-made resource packs. All but 3 items on the page are from the same uploader and have extremely similar thumbnails with a font similar to other popular AI-generated fonts and generic titles. It is almost certain that AI is involved for all these to have been made and uploaded so rapidly

Twitter was demanding I tell them my birthday. (information they've had for 8 years) So I updated my profile as asked. Which caused my account to be locked, and now they're gonna delete it if I don't send them my driver's license. Lol

Bro I'm so sick of pretending this isn't weird. The internet spent 20 years creating tutorials, open-source projects, blog posts & answers for free. Al companies turned all of it into products worth billions. And now the same people who created that knowledge are being told they're replaceable. We built the library. Someone else started charging admission.

100% Some reviews ARE just hype men, and they exist for the people who like a simple review that lets them get hyped up. That’s *their* choice of critic. You find someone you tend to see eye to eye with and it helps you figure out if you want to see a movie. They serve a purpose.

I wonder if this perception is coloured by some review outlets being seen as more or less just hype men. Knowing what your own tastes are and those of a critic you gel with is a great way to have a pretty reasonable shot at knowing in advance whether or not something'll be your cup of tea
