I keep saying this - there are plenty of ways to do age verification without requiring people to give up their privacy online. The fact that governments insist on methods that require you to give up your privacy shows that "making people give up their privacy" was always the real point.

The government can very easily verify someone's identity anonymously, meaning without the website knowing who was verified. Australia just didn't implement this.

A perpetual problem in TTRPG design is how many inherit the D&D "Strength/Dexterity" basic stat divide - and how making combat even slightly more realistic just moves more and more functions from "strength" to "dexterity" Maybe "Strength" shouldn't be a stat on par with "Dexterity" at all?

I have looked through the NYT's financial statements and people should know that the NYT's profits have gone up significantly since 2022, not because of news-only subscription revenue, but because of revenue driven by puzzle and recipe subscriptions, alone or bundled with news.

I also have a news subscription, which is arguably worse, so I had to specifically send in a written request. Took 30 days but I got approved.
