Look, he was pitching really well, but I still don’t get why Counsell continues to try and squeeze an extra inning out of him when he’s clearly gassed. I know the bullpen is shaky as hell, but once Boyd hits 90 pitches, he’s done. That’s it.

Wound up my ride at a bar/pizza place watching the Cubs. Dude came in and sat down about 15 minutes ago, opened a laptop, took out his phone, and has been taking proxy bets for people on sports betting sites while also doing (apparently legal) liquor sales. Hustle culture is stupid.
Chicago, it’s a beautiful day out there. Go for a bike ride, go to the beach, have a drink on a patio. Just get outside.
Everyone who criticized the Manics from the late '80s through to about 2010 for how over-the-top/on-the-nose their lyrics were about fascism rising up and corporations bleeding us all dry really owes them an apology right about now.

I actively detest cringe humor. Like, I literally get angry at it. So Nathan Fielder has clearly never been my cup of tea. But good dog, that Holmes doc might actually be a work of genius...or it could be more of his insufferable schtick, just with a more deserving target. Color me intrigued.

Watched BUFFET INFINITY tonight. For the first two acts, it's really fascinating, bordering on great, but it couldn't stick the landing. Still, well worth watching if you have ninety minutes and you're hankering for some pretty bleak, caustic satire.
