Reminder - if you are giving flowers today (or anytime) to someone with a cat, make sure there are no lilies in the bouquet. Even touching the flower or drinking the water the flower is in can kill a cat. (And if you see symptoms, it’s already too late. Symptoms mean the damage is done)

Seeing the news alert about the Kennedy Center’s new ‘chairman’ was not surprising, but still heartbreaking and I haven’t worked full time in the arts in years. The arts are what make us human and unrestricted art are why we keep being human. (1/3)

One of my side jobs is at a low-cost vet urgent care. This is from one of my coworkers there from today. Imagine being so deep in your hatred of people that you would go after people helping ANIMALS. My boss told us that every time someone complained about the flag, we’d put up a bigger flag. :)

Did you know how hard it is to be a pitbull? Having to defend a yard and a house all day, clean off and then destroy peanut butter containers, battle your brother for the best snuggle spot on top of mom and her fuzziest blanket? A true unsung hero of…something.

I wish more workplaces gave paid emotional health days in addition to sick days. Cause tonight was…a lot.
