The “and yet we participate in a society” argument being rolled out for AI is dissapointing in the extreme. Disappointing, but not surprising.

One of the best books I’ve read this year, if not the best. Definitely the weirdest. In the future, humanity lives in domes the ocean floor. A famous dermatologist gets a message from her estranged mother, and muses on the events of her life to this point. Brilliantly bizarre, super surprising. 📚💙

The cinema right now is franchise hell. Spider-Man 4 Toy Story 5 Moana remake Minions number 57 or something Oh, and The Odyssey (ew) I was going to go on Monday to try and escape the heat but I guess I’m just not gonna. I’m going to watch original films in my boiling flat. Might watch Threads.
