So far this year, I've made over 80 short story submissions. With 12 still outstanding, I've had 13 acceptances to date. Not all of those have resulted in publication - I withdrew from one predatory contract and had 2 same-day acceptances so had to step aside from one. That's a 19% acceptance rate.

Not true - 2/3 of states allow electronic return of ballots and some post-only states have "posted by election day" rules. Don't assume you are too late to vote. In most cases you still can. If you did not received you ballot you can get a FWAB (a back up ballot) at votefromabroad.org

A lot of good this post will do when they won't arrive in time. Absentee ballots have to be received by Election Day in most states, either in person or by mail. This should have been posted before or during early voting periods, which vary state to state.

Made the mistake yesterday of searching on here for the word “traitors” and my results were about half appreciation for Rome’s Ranganatham and half outrage directed at the entire Republican Party pre midterms. I’ve been living in both these worlds. I know which one I prefer.
