Is the 82nd Airborne Division being prepared for deployment?
War by trolling with video games, by the head of state by the way, is certainly a new one to me.
Brian Stelter@brianstelter.bsky.social · 8mo agoWhat steps will the White House take to sell an unpopular war in Iran to the American people? Well, here's one answer: A social media video that literally likens the war to a video game by mixing "Call of Duty" game footage with clips of American missile strikes.
At least they are taking new wrong lessons from World War II. That’s something right.
👻Really Spooky Smith👻@reallyseansmith.bsky.social · 8mo agoHegseth getting the ultimate leg's revenge: Giving the 82nd the mission they WANT, but should under no circumstances be allowed to DO. I graduated Airborne School and take no pleasure in reporting this.
I wonder how many casualties a certain segment of the US population is going to be willing to take in all of this?

On June 2, 1917, Bishop flew alone into German territory and destroyed a German aerodrome and three German planes. His actions earned him the Victoria Cross, but there is some debate today over the validity of his claim 🧵6/12

I gotta say I’m very disappointed, but not surprised, by the number of history creators who made videos after Charlie Kirk was killed pleading for calm but two people get killed in the streets of Minneapolis and it’s only silence.
That crowd control by ICE was real bad. It’s clear they have next to no training in the area. They were kicking canisters thrown back at them just a few feet. Also the gas was just coming back at them due to the wind. And they left by throwing canisters into the empty street.
For some reason I’m thinking about the November 1838 Battle of the Windmill. Probably cause it was an American attack on Canada led by idiots.
The Rangers may become even more important soon.
Craig Baird-Canadian History Ehx@cdnhistoryehx.bsky.social · 9mo agoSince 1947, the Canadian Rangers have provided a military presence in the Canadian North. Experts in wilderness survival, they cover areas of Canada that are not practical for conventional Army units. Considered to be "always on duty", this is their legendary story. 🧵1/10
Really feeling the “really nice apartment over a meth lab” vibe recently in the great white north.
The normalizing of the Greenland situation by so many people is utterly insane. The focus should be on calling out the craziness not treating this like it’s a legitimate thing to do.
