A 32 year old male (P2) was driving an unknown model Kia. He was stopped for a westbound red light at
Garnet Avenue at Mission Bay Drive. A 59 year old male (P1) was driving a Porche Cayman, westbound 2800
Garnet Avenue at a high rate of speed. The Porche impacted the rear of the Kia, The collision resulted in a
chain reaction, impacting a total of nine vehicles. The 32 year old male (P2), was transported to the hospital
where he was pronounced deceased. Three occupants of the other vehicles were also transported with
minor injuries. The 59 year old male (P1) was arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter at the scene. Alcohol
was not a factor. Traffic officers responded to the scene and are investigating the collision.

This description makes no sense to me. A cyclist and a motorist were traveling in the same direction in Grantville. Driver "saw the bicyclist coming at him" and swerved left, then the cyclist crashed into the right front of the car? Cyclist was hospitalized with leg and rib fractures. #VisionZero

6200 Rancho Mission Road. The driver saw the bicyclist coming at him and attempted to swerve to the left.
The bicyclist collided with the right front of the vehicle. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital to be
treated for a fractured left femur, fractured ribs, and a fractured tibia. Traffic units responded and will be

64-year-old woman died after driving her SUV into opposing traffic, then onto the curb and up an embankment, which flipped the car on its roof. She was extricated by firefighters and was pronounced dead in the hospital. #VisionZero

A 64-year old female was driving a 2010 B.M.W. sport utility vehicle northbound on El Camino Real. For
reasons still under investigation the vehicle veered left into the southbound lanes and continued traveling
northbound. The vehicle drove over the west curb and proceeded up an embankment causing it to overturn,
coming to rest on its roof. The driver had to be extricated by S.D.F.D. firefighters. She was transported by
ambulance to a local hospital. The driver was pronounced deceased at the hospital. S.D.P.D. Traffic Division
responded and is handling the collision. At this point of the investigation DUI has not been determined.

A 27-year old male was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer eastbound on 5200 University Avenue at a high rate of
speed. The driver initiated a northbound turn onto 52nd Street, and collided with a traffic signal light pole.
A 26-year old female was sitting in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, and was not wearing a seatbelt.
Upon impact with the traffic signal light pole the passengers head struck the vehicle windshield. The
passenger was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. It was determined she sustained serious
head/neck injuries. The driver was evaluated and arrested for driving under the influence. S.D.P.D. Traffic
Division responded and is handling the investigation.

32-year-old man lost control of his e-motorcycle while riding through an alley and crossing a street in Barrio Logan. He suffered a fractured clavicle, fractured vertebra, and fractured sternum. #VisionZero

Mid-City Officers were investigating a serious injury collision at 50th St and El Cajon Blvd. Officers used
marked police vehicles with activated emergency lights to block both directions of El Cajon Blvd at 50th St. A
46-year old male was driving a Kia Soul eastbound on El Cajon Blvd approaching 50th St. The Kia made no
attempt to slow or respond to the road closure. The Kia collided with two marked police vehicles, and
continued into the collision scene. Two S.D.P.D. Sergeants were struck by the vehicle and sustained minor
injuries. The driver of the Kia was arrested for felony driving under the influence. S.D.P.D. Traffic Division
responded and is investigating the collision.

Police are asking for help finding the driver of a white car, possibly a Chevy Malibu, who struck and seriously injured a woman as she attempted to cross El Cajon Boulevard in El Cerrito last October, then fled the scene. #VisionZero

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police
Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and
locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a
pedestrian with major injuries in the El Cerrito area of San Diego.
On October 6, 2025, at 8:06 p.m., an adult female pedestrian was walking across the
5700 block of El Cajon Blvd., in San Diego. A vehicle was traveling eastbound on El
Cajon Blvd. in the number two lane. The vehicle struck the pedestrian, knocking her
to the ground. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled the scene without
calling 911 or rendering first aid. The vehicle was last seen driving eastbound on El
Cajon Blvd.
The pedestrian suffered several head injuries and was transported to a local hospital
for medical treatment. The injuries were not considered life threatening.

Suspect’s Vehicle Description:
The suspect’s vehicle is described as being similar to a newer model Chevy Malibu
with possible minor damage to its front passenger side corner.

old female (P1), driving a 2025 Chevy Traxx, was exiting a parking lot on the east side of 13800 Mango Drive.
P1 made a left turn into the path of P2. P2 impacted the front of P1's vehicle. P2 then impacted P3, a 2017
Lexus, driven by a 21 year old male traveling southbound 13800 Mango Drive. P2 was ejected from the
motorcycle and was transported to the hospital with a compound fracture, and open tib/fib fracture to his
right leg. The injuries are not considered life-threatening. Alcohol not a factor. Traffic Division officers

Around 1:30 a.m. today, a San Diego police officer struck and killed a pedestrian, white male in his early 20s, on Linda Vista Road near USD. Make/model of patrol vehicle unclear. Officer "felt an impact on his vehicle," turned around and rendered aid, but the man died of his injuries. #VisionZero

SDPD Vehicle Involved in Fatal Collision with Pedestrian

 

SAN DIEGO – This morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a San Diego Police Officer was driving a marked department patrol vehicle westbound on the 5800 block of Linda Vista Road near Goshen Street. The officer felt an impact on his vehicle. The officer turned their vehicle around and discovered a man lying in the roadway.

 

The officer and their arriving partners immediately rendered first aid. San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel transported the man to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

 

The San Diego Police Department Traffic Unit and Collision Investigations Bureau responded to the scene and is investigating.

 

It is unclear, at this time, why the person entered the roadway. The officer was not injured during the collision.

 

The decedent is described as a white male in his early 20’s. His identification will be withheld, pending family notifications.

of Ingraham Street. A 53-year-old male was driving a 2025 Cadillac Escalade SUV Northbound in the #2 lane
of Ingraham Street at Thomas Avenue. The driver of the electric bicycle failed to yield, and a collision
occurred. The driver of the electric bicycle suffered multiple spinal fractures and internal injuries, but none
are considered life threatening. DUI is not suspected.

Northern Division officers responded to a call of a male subject smoking narcotics inside a vehicle and acting
erratically in the parking lot of Vons supermarket on Garnet Avenue. Upon officers arrival the subject fled in
a 2014 Mercedes CLA250. Officers pursued the vehicle eastbound on Garnet Ave. The Mercedes collided
with a 2020 Hyundai Veloster disabling both vehicles. A 24-year old female passenger in the Hyundai was
transported by ambulance to a local hospital. It was determined she sustained multiple fractured vertebrae.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 39 year old male was suspected of being under the influence of narcotics. He
was arrested for felony driving under the influence causing injury, and felony evading. S.D.P.D. Traffic
Division responded and is investigating the collision.

Driver in a pickup truck made a right turn from El Cajon Boulevard onto 54th Street and struck a 54-year-old man attempting to cross. Victim suffered life-threatening injuries including a brain bleed, fluid in his lungs and multiple scrapes. #VisionZero

female (P1) was driving her 2022 KIA Niro westbound on Pacific Beach Drive. P1 attempted to make an illegal
U-turn at the intersection of Noyes Street. P2 struck the driver side of P1. P2 suffered a right femur fracture.
Injuries are not considered life threatening. DUI was not a factor. San Diego Police Department Traffic will be
handling he investigation.
