I too am reading Ministry for the Future. Had to take a break because I’m not sure it gets better. It reads like it is prescient. The first bit is gutting having to do with a horrific heat wave.

Power went out this morning for about 20ish minutes. Got a call from the power company saying it was restored and the outage “was caused by a squirrel coming into contact with our equipment.” Poor squirrel.

Stuck on a plane with maintenance issues AND a ground stop. AMA?
Neighbors just had to get their cat out of a tree. It took a multiple ladders (each in a different yard), several people, soooo many treats and they finally got the cat into a pillow case and down the ladder. It was harrowing to watch. So glad everyone is down and safe!
The level of science communication we’ve had throughout this mission, from everyone at Houston to the astronauts, has been stellar.
