Sgriobhaiche. ‘I have no doubts that Angus Peter Campbell is one of the most significant living poets in Scotland, writing in any language.’ (Sorley MacLean).
The latest issue of Theology in Scotland is on mental health. Has tradition bearer Madge Bray on women’s lament in keening & pibroch right through to the Iolaire era, and me on indigenous Gaelic cosmology in the S Uist bard Angus Peter Campbell. Open access PDFs ojs.st-andrews.ac.uk/index.php/TI...

Lovely telling of how Richard deRosa from Otsego County New York found 'Donald and his Seven Cows' in a Glasgow bookshop. And he likes the book! "Wisdom shared from the heart, stated in plain, no-frills language. It’s thought in its purist form.' Thank you Richard. www.allotsego.com/hawthorn-hil...
Hawthorn Hill Journal: Donald and His Seven Cows
Donald spends every day following his cows, led by Maisie, on their approximately one mile circular walk. This is what he does each and every day. Donald is both at home with himself and his life.

A sublime exploration of memory and lived experience. But there's magic realism in there too. Tender, mysterious; it's wonderful stuff altogether. @aonghasphadraig.bsky.social truly is a master storyteller. #BookSky #Books #ScottishFiction
