😳 The same manufacturer had to recall a Lot of sodium citrate for fiberglass contamination. That’s the anticoagulant I got last weekend when I donated platelets. Double 😳😳

I really feel like it should be bigger news that fibreglass is in IV saline bags in the US. This isn’t a situation where you might get a little sick. Fibreglass going directly into your veins will kill you. IV saline is used for almost every medical procedure. This is unconscionable:

We used to put this on & jump around the living room shouting “My Solana”. She didn’t hear an unaltered version until she was 6 years old or so. AND SHE WAS PISSED! “They’re singing it wrong! It’s MY SOLANA!”

I haven’t given blood for the past 15+ years because they instituted a 50 year ban if you lived somewhere with Mad Cow (I was in England ‘80-‘81) Recently I saw they had an emergency need…k, see you in 2031! Until the kid said “have you checked if the ban is lifted?”😳 So…I donated blood today
