We have a laugh don't we

Friends, we might have reached peak The Athletic. One of their long-sleeve types has done a video about how Brighton are good, but not in the way you, the common punter, think they're good, in the way that they think they're good that you, the common punter, haven't noticed.

Very sorry to say that I've become a bit of a "phone on speaker held in the palm of your hand as you have a conversation" types, recently. God, it makes me feel important. Never in a public place, I stress.

Up the sold-to-anybody-who'll-have-them-regardless-of-motivation-competency-or-ability-to-fund-the-club-on-an-ongoing-basis Toffees!

🚨 EXCL: Everton put up for sale by The Friedkin Group. #EFC owner already seeking investment but now ready to exit if/when right buyer emerges. TFG plan to maintain full support in meantime after stabilising club + completing stadium move 🚨 @theathleticfc.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/athletic/767...

Glad Tom Hayes has had his Libor conviction quashed. Doubt he'll get his ruined marriage back together though. The SFO is absolutely not fit for purpose.

Been chuckling at these responses to my gym observation all day. Maybe this place of ours might just be god damn well crazy enough to survive after all.

The PT game looks a nice racket doesn't it. Girl in the gym earlier was sitting there in a parka, on her iPad. Nodding occasionally at a woman woman running on a treadmill.

On Ronaldo, on BBC Sport: "a spoiled child who acts as if he had never heard a "no" in his life." Well, he's probably heard "no" before, but chose to ignore it.

Making my return to football tonight after an 8 week absence with injury. Not seen anything about it on BBC Sport as yet but its the absolute talk of the town in South Manchester.
