I covered Iraq and Afghanistan under two administrations and they lied about a lot but I’ve never seen this kind of withholding of major casualty information. And it comes on the heels of the defense secretary saying coverage of casualties makes Trump look bad.

NEWS: An Iranian drone attack in Kuwait that killed US service members in the early hours of war was more severe than previously known. 30+ remained in hospitals yday. About 20 arrived at Landstuhl Tuesday with injuries the military designated “urgent." @cbsnews.com www.cbsnews.com/news/strike-...

I spent years as a reporter in Iraq and Afghanistan and I've seen first-hand that the death of a brutal dictator and the ousting of a cruel regime is only the beginning and the only certainty moving forward is uncertainty.

A well-known racist, antisemitic activist came to an Idaho Legislature committee hearing in brownface & a "Mexican" costume yesterday & the GOP chairman let him testify. Keep in mind, you're not even allowed to wear a political t-shirt to these hearings. Humiliating for my state.

Award news! Howl, the story of 30 yrs of wolf reintroduction from me & Clark Corbin won best podcast in the Røde Mics Creator of the Year Awards! It's the wild, surprising & sometimes violent story of wolves in the West. @idahocapitalsun.com @boisestatepublicradio.org www.npr.org/podcast/fis-...
