One angle to misinformation which probably needs more attention is the inability of people to understand the weedier mechanisms of relevance. Saw an anti-solar screed citing all the toxic compounds in solar panels. Writer of said screed doesn't understand most panels don't use those compounds!

The worst part about this whole 2xko debacle, is that the loudest people possible will have the "cant believe we waited 10 years for THIS" and think they knew the right path the whole time. The overall righteousness that people in the FGC have about being right is incredibly off-putting

I just did a presentation where the topic was covered, and this was pretty much my conclusion. I would advise any developer against gen AI for assets, it's just not worth it. The contracts I draft for clients already call out its use, and it's becoming increasingly common to see at all sizes.

I finally completed Metroid Prime 4! I really enjoyed parts of it! Unfortunately I really, REALLY disliked parts of it too 🫠 I wanted to love this game, it just... has way too many rough patches, and oh my god that is one of the worst endings I've played in years, *both* gameplay and story-wise 😭
