We are appealing to RTÉ to reverse the decision to exclude Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin from all RTÉ debates during their coverage of the Dublin Central By-Election. All of the other eight viable candidates are included in at least one debate, yet Eoghan is excluded from all three debates planned.

Israel just moved its northern border 30 miles into Lebanon, annexing 10% of the country, displacing over a million people who have been told they won't be allowed to return, while Jewish settlers plan on moving in. The international community, and the UN does sweet fuck all. WTAF ?

I had the chance to speak about Radicle and it's local-first elements at FOSDEM. Thanks to @nikobonnieure.bsky.social and openlocalfirst.org for giving me the opportunity to do 😊 Got to meet some great people, and managed to squeeze in a few talks too 😮‍💨

FOSDEM was a crazy weekend, with over 1,000 talks between two days! FOSS is flourishing 🌱 The Radicle maintainers were lucky enough to present two talks, check them out! 👉 ftp.belnet.be/mirror/FOSDE... 👉 mirror.as35701.net/video.fosdem... #radicle #decentralized #localfirst

Well this is absolutely fucked. I can’t DM someone who I mutually follow because of age restriction in the UK? Let me quickly switch to my Irish sim 🙄

Bluesky restricting my access to message somebody until I verify my age.

I don’t know man if capitalism has just resulted in a small network of pedophiles destroying all life on earth then perhaps we should consider that it is a complete and utter failure as a system

After spending time at LocalFirst Conf and chatting to several people about different threads of life, I'm becoming more convinced that I want to live in a world with small, digitally shared gardens. The internet is too big, and I want to collaborate and share with my friends – fostering community

Four Irish companies are supplying components to the largest supplier of arms to the Israel Defense Forces, according to records uncovered by The Ditch. One is a south Dublin-based defence firm that makes parts for missile-carrying military drones. www.ontheditch.com/irish-compan...

I've been quite on the fence about using AI for my work, but there is one benefit I am seeing. Since I work remote, which can be quite isolating, it is a nice rubber duck to talk to when I get stuck in thought trying to implement something. I've gotten some good insights in my latest problem.
