I do . . . want to remember.” Generally, he keeps guards up in his mind, but it seems someone was tampering with it.
"How long ago since you've owned me? Well, I've been with the Mercers for about a year now..." He couldn't tell if Lestat was being petty or genuinely confused. They both happened quite often.
