To save his marriage and bring a light back to his wife's eyes, Lucifer resolves to bear the child Lilith cannot—but only a soul can sire a soul, and for that he needs a human, uncorrupted by the ravages of Hell. Slipping his own chains and venturing into the mortal world, his attention is immediately snagged by a powerful summoning and the dark, powerful soul at its centre. Alastor is, at once, the answer to Lucifer's immediate prayer, and so the price Lucifer enacts in return for the power Alastor seeks is simple: that Alastor lay with him in the way of men and wives, as many times as it takes. Nothing more, nothing less.

But when a case of mistaken identity almost gets jazz pianist Alastor killed, he finds himself becoming an object of interest to the Morningstar Syndicate—and its leader, Lucifer Magne. Lucifer is a puzzle Alastor can’t crack and, as they are drawn into each other’s orbit, Alastor begins to wonder if there is more to the man than meets the eye.

If there is, Alastor intends to find out.

E is for Eternal: Alastor is no fool; he knows exactly where his soul will be going once his clock stops ticking. It’s pointless to argue and, in his opinion, even more pointless to show up empty handed.

He spends progressively more time attempting to contact the other side for some kind of mutually beneficial arrangement, bodies piling up in his wake. While Alastor has never been a stranger to nightmares, the surge of them he experiences with each failed ritual attempt is becoming catastrophic to his ability to function until the only time sleep claims him is by force.

But when those restless nights are replaced with hazy visages of dark hands combing through his hair, petal-soft lips upon his forehead, and the impossible sensation of wings cradling him, he realizes that he has attracted the attention of something much larger than a mere dealmaking demon.

But, Alastor is not a foolish man.

So, when this creature of dreams offers him a deal, what can he do but accept?

It had only taken Alastor a single one of Lucifer’s live performances for a vow to be born: to enter the ballet world and dance right beside Lucifer as his co-star. Clinging to his dream and silly teenage crush, Alastor faces the hardships of entering the performing arts so late in life.
