October was the first month of the year I played more games with someone other than my wife. Bit of a slow month because it was very busy (including a trip to Spiel), but highlights include playing Sky Team in Düsseldorf Airport.

Finished the main story of Ghost of Yotei. Absolutely a worthy successor to Ghost of Tsushima, and the pair are two of the best games I’ve ever played. Atsu’s story is now my favorite revenge tale.

Recently I posted about my Santorini in Santorini project. Next up is a trip to Rome! So I ask you, what’s a good game to play in Rome? Must be: Very portable Small footprint Two players Quick play time Low complexity Rome theme I’m thinking Rome in a Day. What do you think?

This summer I played Santorini in Santorini! To pull it off, I found and printed a nice little miniature Santorini board and pieces. I designed some nesting, removable trays to accommodate all the pieces some cards. It was a super fun project and a neat thing to tick off the bucket list!

Thanks to an extended visit from some good friends who were really keen on trick-taking games, August was a record month since I started tracking plays at the beginning of the year!

We had some friends in town for a couple of weeks, and the group got swept up with The Crew. So much fun! We really struggled with Mission 28, far more than any other. It was a huge outlier. Were there any missions you struggled with? Was it just us struggling on 28?

I subscribed again when your run on the magazine got underway! Really liked stuff like the mini campaign settings and the custom chapter stuff. Nice to see more narrative stuff in the magazine. Great work all around.

Good sir, this last run of White Dwarf has been unquestionably, undeniably one of the all time best runs of the magazine that it has seen, perhaps as good or better than the early 2000's. I know, I have those ones too. Hold your head high on the way out, you did a great job.
