A huge loss to Louisa's family, friends, and the whole Boston transportation advocacy community. We must push to make streets safer for all vulnerable road users, so that tragic crashes like this can be prevented.

We are heartbroken at Louisa’s death. This preventable tragedy has deprived Boston of a fierce advocate for safe streets. Louisa’s cheerful enthusiasm and drive to make the city safer for vulnerable road users inspired everyone around her. She was an integral part of the biking and transportation community, and an inspiration to everyone lucky enough to know or work with her.

Beautiful weather, great company, & learning about the life of Kittie Knox was a wonderful way to celebrate Juneteenth and to honor her legacy in breaking down racial and gender barriers in cycling. Thank you to all who participated in & volunteered for the 5th Annual Kittie Knox Ride!
