The latest poll for Saxony-Anhalt has the far-right at 41%. If some of the smaller parties (SPD, Greens, BSW) don't clear the threshold to enter parliament, the far-right may gain an absolute majority in September.

Fun fact: Pyrzyce, then a German town of Pyritz, was one of the key battlegrounds of the February 1945 Operation Solstice, one of the last major German counterattacks on the eastern front. I guess Felix Steiner got his revenge from beyond the grave, in a way.

Russia has criticised the "sacrilegious" demolition of a Soviet monument in Poland, calling it a “flagrant violation” of a bilateral agreement. But Poland's Institute of National Remembrance says it was a "propaganda object" that had to be removed under a law on "decommunising" public spaces.

There are many reasons why I prefer working from home, but our Berlin offices not having airco is a strong contender for top 3 of those as far as summer months are concerned.
