Excellent posters at the symposium also. The PharmaCareers Project is presenting 'Careers in Place', sharing some of our initial findings on women science graduates, rural location and retention in Ireland's pharma industry.

Great start to the HEI Rural Development Symposium 2026 this morning, with opening remarks from Minister of State Jerry Buttimer and an opening session from Prof Felicity Kelliher and Dr Leana Reinl of SETU Faculty of Business and Dr Noel Murray of MTU. 🧵

The pharmaceutical & life sciences are one of the few STEM careers that have a high level of gender parity for graduates. So why does this gap widen as careers progress? We are looking for women science graduates in Ireland to take part in this important research. @pharmacareers.bsky.social

Really happy to be part of @pharmacareers.bsky.social When women leave STEM careers, we blame pipeline or choice. PharmaCareers asks something different: what actually happens across a working life? Get in touch to participate, or @ anyone who may be interested #WomenInSTEM #PharmaCareers
