Love this! SUCH impactful dissemination. 👇 Reminds me of the 'walking zine' idea - but I love this design even more than a t-shirt. You want your #research to have #impact WEAR IT! #CreativeMethods #ResearchImpact #AcademicSky

For me 2024 was characterised by going with the flow, catching currents and seeing where they took me. I was immersed in the Bridging the Silos #Autistic #Menopause study, and I had a fabulous time sharing research findings in creative ways. #AutRes

A Perfect Storm. Silver haired old person wearing a grey tie dye dress with words and phrases hand drawn onto it.

This framework of social interactions reflects my own experience of messy #ParticipatoryResearch It's not always possible for everyone to be in the same room, & circumstances can change during the project. Flexibility to participants needs is an important form of respect!

💭 How do you report the dialogue and learning during #co-production and #co-design? Is the dialogue always held around a table? This Social Interaction and Learning Framework provides a way to communicating how we achieve dialogue in blended social interaction www.elgaronline.com/edcollchap-o...

Blended social interaction and learning framework. A 3x3 grid based on the dimensions of time and space.

Vertical Axis (Time): Categorized into: Same time, Blended time, and Different time

Horizontal Axis (Space): Categorized into: Same space, Blended space, and Distributed space.

The framework includes four diagonal arrows pointing to the corners and two vertical arrows pointing to the top and bottom, representing the spectrum of interaction:

Top Left: High human interaction.
Top Right: High social fidelity.
Bottom Left: Low social fidelity.
Bottom Right: Low human interaction.

Each of the nine cells contains a specific combination of time and space.

Same time / Same space: People sitting around a physical table.

Blended time / Blended space: People in a physical room and remote participants interacting with a digital whiteboard.

Different time / Different space: Distributed individuals interacting with content independently at various times and locations.

Interesting reflections for anyone considering/undertaking a #PhD and doing #ParticipatoryResearch I think I encountered all these challenges in my journey!

Interested in understanding the tensions in PhD work between institutional structures and being true to #coproduction in undertaking #participatory action-oriented research? Check out this great i2Insights contribution by Raymond Hyma and Javier García-Martínez at i2insights.org/2026/06/23/p...

Great read, some key points about how we could increase the #resilience of our #foodsystems, including: 🥕Increasing and diversifying domestic production 💼Maintaining some trade, and networks for international knowledge exchange

“When shocks and crises become a regular feature of food systems, it can be far cheaper to invest in resilience over the longer term.” @jennifer-clapp.bsky.social explains why resilient self-reliance is about reducing vulnerability to food price shocks. www.foodagribusiness.world/agribusiness...

"food issues are not always about food. The issues are very interlinked." Useful reflections here on how it is impossible to separate injustices in #FoodSystems from broader systemic barriers & challenges - including barriers preventing more BIPOC people being in academia & publishing #FoodJustice
