Trump admitted he blocked energy funding to punish blue states he lost in 2024, including $586 million for Illinois. Courts ruled it illegal. He's still blocking the money. Bipartisan permitting reform won't work if Trump ignores the law. He must reinstate the grants first.

The worst case scenario for Vivek. By pulling the ad he admits it was a huge mistake, but it was done too late to save him. When the initial backlash hit the day it came out he called Trump to ask him if he should pull the ad. Trump told him hell no and he should double down. He listened to Trump.
