Perpetual GM and TTRPG nerd hoping to one day release my own games Linktree: https://linktr.ee/mana_mages_mayhem

Got round to playing a session of Fabula Ultima last night and pretty fun system ngl. Much simpler to pick up and as a chronicly unprepared GM the systems much easier to improvise situations for.

Can't believe its already mid week and there's only a couple more days until UKGE! Really got to pull my thumb out and complete the last few pieces to run my playtest on Sunday.

3d printing a turn tracker for the first in person play test coming up on the 7th! Can't wait to play my TTRPG in person with people and hopefully these physical pieces will aid in the experience.

The gap between buying a 3d printer and realising I can print all the game pieces i could dream of to play test my TTRPG had been way too big... took me 2 months to work this shit out 🤦‍♂️

I've been thinking on an element of my TTRPG for the last week, Townships makes no sense or at least is very meh, the game is about mages so why the hell don't they live in mage towers! So I've mulled it over and think I'm going to make the change but it'll take a bunch of rewrites 😭

In such an annoying mindset right now! I desperately want to do more writing for my ttrpg core rule book, but for the life of me, I can not get into the right head space... I guess at least my Asana board is now up to date, but its just not scratching that itch

This week I've been working on accomodating for people with forms of colour blindness. Not a huge change to the spell cards but I hope it will help clarrify which mana is needed while keeping the cards concise. #ttrpg

Another successful playtest! TBH I didn't build the system for stealth missions but its great to know that it still holds up. Can't wait for the next one hopefully we can get back to some chaotic combat and see what happens! #ttrpg

Its funny how even though I have years of d&d experience and the one thing I didn't prepare myself for when play testing my own ttrpg was schedule conflicts... Guess no ttrpg can solve that issue

Great play test of my TTRPG last night! We got to try out the new way of handling social interactions and honestly think its way better now. As all games go we seem to be rocketing towards a heist which isnt really the point of the system but looking forward to see how it plays.

Been off of work for a week and spitting out spells left and right for my TTRPG but I have no idea when to stop making them... in a spell focused rpg how many spells is too many spells!

What is a Turn in Mana, Mages and Mayhem? At the heart there is an action point based combat system. Each player gets 2 AP per turn, and they can spend them on things like generating mana, casting spells or aiding allies. Instead of turns the players order their actions together in a single turn.

Been a busy weekend finally back working on my TTRPG project! Been focusing on making usable resources for play tests without having to share complicated google sheets. Nothing too fancy but I think it's a start.
