I often complain that the clanker (LLM to the layman) is being a dummy. But today I am the dummy. It diagnosed the problem a few hours ago. I told it that was not right and made it research a whole bunch of other avenues, only to (eventually) prove the same root cause myself. Oops.

I built this music player for my kid years and years ago. It's hacked together with an old Orange Pi PC Plus in a reused hardboard box with buttons and computer speakers I had in a junk box. A python script monitors the "favorite" buttons (or shuffle). Still in use, we just updated the songs.

Oh my, how have I been using git to squash commits FOR YEARS and just now spent the time to read about the fixup option that displays EVERY TIME you interactive rebase? You mean I can just drop the temporary commit messages without manually deleting them? I fell pretty silly.

We had family stay with us over the holiday weekend. Our 1-year-old cocker spaniel puppy was on duty entertaining the whole time. The aftermath is rough. Note this is an end table, not a dog bed.

I've never felt more rage than trying to get the LLM to do very straightforward tasks. must be some kind of AI kryptonite. Well the LLM did its master's monetary bidding; I'm out of credits. I'm likely to scrap this hobby project rather than pump more coins into the amazing disappointment machine.

Using the agents to write code is like walking a dog on a leash. Some bond with the pupper and it stays at their side; they walk together. Other people get yanked by the leash and fall flat on their face. A lot depends on the dog, but ultimately the owner is responsible for the walk.
