Fantastic teaching moment today! I was covering the abrupt ending of the gospel of Mark. “ it’s like a cliffhanger!” I said, and then, at that moment the fire alarm went off . 🤣

I had a wonderful day filming several classes for the Admirato platform. Look for a class on prayer and the warning passages in Hebrews soon!
From across the globe and from different traditions we studied the Pastoral Epistles this week. We were in awe of the beautiful and practical instructions for being and leading the church. I have never been more grateful that I get to be both a student in the academy and a minister in the church.
I had a blast teaching Pastoral Epistles to this DMin cohort at Northern Seminary this week! Our conversations were instrumental to prepare me to write a commentary on these challenging but powerful letters of the New Testament.
It was an amazing week working on translating the Bible with this incredible team. I’m so grateful to be a part of the New Living Translation. And it was powerful, given news items from other Christian gatherings, to be in a group where women and men work together as co-laborers.
My church, St Mark’s Episcopal, hosted a book launch party for me today. I’m so incredibly grateful to be at a place that celebrates its people: authors, clergy, women. 🥰😊🎉
Graduation was so joyful! What an honor that I got to journey with these faithful scholars!
Exciting news! I’m running Chicago with my daughter for her first marathon! We’d love your support! www.teamworldvision.org/participants...

Today is my 10th ordination anniversary. I’m grateful beyond words.
To mark both her recent installation as Archbishop of Canterbury, and also to celebrate her birthday, Quakers gifted Sarah Mullally a copy of Margaret Fell's Women's Speaking Justified yesterday. The meeting was warm and friendly, and finished with a brief moment of silent prayer .
Our rector invited me to reflect on the magnitude of the archbishop. I was delighted to do so. How grateful I am to be a part of a denomination and church where women’s voices are valued. stmarks-geneva.org/letter-from-...

I became a doktormutter for the second time today, and just like biological pregnancy, my heart expanded to make room for one more! Congratulations Dr. Bethany Grainger!
Following the example of StoryCorps, our church has started GodCorps. Parishioners interview each other to share moments that they’ve encountered God. It is so fun to get to know everyone better through this medium. Check it out! stmarks-geneva.org/god-corps/
