We are outraged but not surprised, taking into consideration that Beijing handpicked three NSL judges. This trial was nothing more than a sham. Given Lai’s deteriorating health, it is high time for UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Donald Trump to press Beijing for his release.
